God called him into prophetic ministry. He was called to introduce and announce to the world the coming of the Son of God, Israel\u2019s Messiah Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Our scripture for today are the words recorded which John<\/span><span class=\"s4\" style=\"line-height: 16.799999237060547px;font-size: 14px\"><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s4\" style=\"line-height: 16.799999237060547px;font-size: 14px\">the Baptist<\/span><span class=\"s4\" style=\"line-height: 16.799999237060547px;font-size: 14px\"><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s4\" style=\"line-height: 16.799999237060547px;font-size: 14px\">spoke when he saw Jesus coming to be baptized. John called Jesus the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world. Jesus is also the only human being recorded in history who was born with a reason to die. He was born into the world for the purpose of saving all humanity as a perfect sacrifice for our salvation and redemption.<\/span><span class=\"s4\" style=\"line-height: 16.799999237060547px;font-size: 14px\"><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s4\" style=\"line-height: 16.799999237060547px;font-size: 14px\">Through his death, burial, and resurrection,<\/span><span class=\"s4\" style=\"line-height: 16.799999237060547px;font-size: 14px\"><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s4\" style=\"line-height: 16.799999237060547px;font-size: 14px\">the penalty of<\/span><span class=\"s4\" style=\"line-height: 16.799999237060547px;font-size: 14px\"><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s4\" style=\"line-height: 16.799999237060547px;font-size: 14px\">Divine Justice wa<\/span><span class=\"s4\" style=\"line-height: 16.799999237060547px;font-size: 14px\">s paid<\/span><span class=\"s4\" style=\"line-height: 16.799999237060547px;font-size: 14px\">,<\/span><span class=\"s4\" style=\"line-height: 16.799999237060547px;font-size: 14px\"><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s4\" style=\"line-height: 16.799999237060547px;font-size: 14px\">the requirements of Divine Holiness were<\/span><span class=\"s4\" style=\"line-height: 16.799999237060547px;font-size: 14px\"><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s4\" style=\"line-height: 16.799999237060547px;font-size: 14px\">satisfied and<\/span><span class=\"s4\" style=\"line-height: 16.799999237060547px;font-size: 14px\"><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s4\" style=\"line-height: 16.799999237060547px;font-size: 14px\">the standards of Divine Righteous were<\/span><span class=\"s4\" style=\"line-height: 16.799999237060547px;font-size: 14px\"><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s4\" style=\"line-height: 16.799999237060547px;font-size: 14px\">fulfilled.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s5\" style=\"margin-top: 0px;margin-bottom: 0px;line-height: 1.2;text-indent: 36px;font-family: -webkit-standard;font-size: 18px;font-style: normal;font-weight: normal;letter-spacing: normal;text-align: start;text-transform: none;text-decoration: none\"><span style=\"line-height: 21.600000381469727px\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s5\" style=\"margin-top: 0px;margin-bottom: 0px;line-height: 1.2;text-indent: 36px;font-family: -webkit-standard;font-size: 18px;font-style: normal;font-weight: normal;letter-spacing: normal;text-align: start;text-transform: none;text-decoration: none\"><span class=\"s4\" style=\"line-height: 16.799999237060547px;font-size: 14px\">We\u2019ve entered into the season that we as Christians celebrate as the Lenten Season. During the Season of Lent we acknowledge the reality of our own mortality. The season begins on Ash Wednesday and it ends on Resurrection Sunday. This season marks the last 40 days of our Lord\u2019s life an<\/span><span class=\"s4\" style=\"line-height: 16.799999237060547px;font-size: 14px\">d earthly ministry<\/span><span class=\"s4\" style=\"line-height: 16.799999237060547px;font-size: 14px\">. For now, all roads lead to Calvary and the Empty Tomb. This is the holiest season in Christendom. As we reflect on the service, sacrifice and suffering of Jesus Christ our Lord during this time, let us do so with appreciation, adoration and renewed commitment and dedication<\/span><span class=\"s4\" style=\"line-height: 16.799999237060547px;font-size: 14px\"><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s4\" style=\"line-height: 16.799999237060547px;font-size: 14px\">to Him as<\/span><span class=\"s4\" style=\"line-height: 16.799999237060547px;font-size: 14px\"><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s4\" style=\"line-height: 16.799999237060547px;font-size: 14px\">disciples. Many pe<\/span><span class=\"s4\" style=\"line-height: 16.799999237060547px;font-size: 14px\">ople are led to make persona<\/span><span class=\"s4\" style=\"line-height: 16.799999237060547px;font-size: 14px\">l<\/span><span class=\"s4\" style=\"line-height: 16.799999237060547px;font-size: 14px\"><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s4\" style=\"line-height: 16.799999237060547px;font-size: 14px\">sacrifices by giving up something<\/span><span class=\"s4\" style=\"line-height: 16.799999237060547px;font-size: 14px\"><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s4\" style=\"line-height: 16.799999237060547px;font-size: 14px\">a<\/span><span class=\"s4\" style=\"line-height: 16.799999237060547px;font-size: 14px\">nd reflecting<\/span><span class=\"s4\" style=\"line-height: 16.799999237060547px;font-size: 14px\"><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s4\" style=\"line-height: 16.799999237060547px;font-size: 14px\">as they are led of the Holy Spirit. Personally, I spend<\/span><span class=\"s4\" style=\"line-height: 16.799999237060547px;font-size: 14px\"><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s4\" style=\"line-height: 16.799999237060547px;font-size: 14px\">special<\/span><span class=\"s4\" style=\"line-height: 16.799999237060547px;font-size: 14px\"><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s4\" style=\"line-height: 16.799999237060547px;font-size: 14px\">time in prayer<\/span><span class=\"s4\" style=\"line-height: 16.799999237060547px;font-size: 14px\">, Bible study, and meditation as I<\/span><span class=\"s4\" style=\"line-height: 16.799999237060547px;font-size: 14px\"><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s4\" style=\"line-height: 16.799999237060547px;font-size: 14px\">retrace \u201cHis steps on the Road to Calvary\u201d<\/span><span class=\"s4\" style=\"line-height: 16.799999237060547px;font-size: 14px\">. I challenge you, read one of the four gospels and spend<\/span><span class=\"s4\" style=\"line-height: 16.799999237060547px;font-size: 14px\"><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s4\" style=\"line-height: 16.799999237060547px;font-size: 14px\">quality quiet<\/span><span class=\"s4\" style=\"line-height: 16.799999237060547px;font-size: 14px\"><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s4\" style=\"line-height: 16.799999237060547px;font-size: 14px\">time in prayer as we celebrate<\/span><span class=\"s4\" style=\"line-height: 16.799999237060547px;font-size: 14px\"><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s4\" style=\"line-height: 16.799999237060547px;font-size: 14px\">L<\/span><span class=\"s4\" style=\"line-height: 16.799999237060547px;font-size: 14px\">ent, it will bless your life!
